Company History

Allegra began it's roots as Insty-Prints in 1976 in downtown Des Moines under the ownership of Don and Julie Westerheim. Insty specialized in commercial printing of all kinds and offered a quick printing storefront for walk-in customers.

In 2000, Pat Rhoades and Jim Eaton purchased Insty Prints and shortly thereafter updated the name to Allegra Print and Imaging.

In a few short years, the business outgrew its location and moved to a larger building just south of Gray's Lake on Thomas Beck Road. It was in 2010 after extensive training, that Allegra's business model morphed in to Allegra Marketing, Print, Mail.

The company progressed into a one-stop shop marketing services provider and relocated to a larger facility in Urbandale. As a commercial printing firm and marketing specialist, Allegra was able to serve as a solutions provider for clients throughout greater Des Moines.

In June 2013, Allegra took the opportunity to merge with another local printing company in order to provide even more full-service products to a growing client base. These expanded offerings include a web-to-print solution that is second to none.

After 18 great years, Jim and Pat sold the business to Phoelisa and Kevin McGuire.  They bring a wealth of experience in Marketing, graphics communication and signage industries to the table to further boost Allegra's capabilities.

Allegra prides itself on the quality of products and service provided by our exceptional team. We will always be grateful to the many companies and team members we are associated with.
